Josh is an experienced litigator with more than 13 years practicing law. Josh joined Roe Cassidy in 2013 and became a partner in 2017. He is a member of the commercial litigation and insurance coverage teams. Josh represents insurance companies in connection with automobile insurance policies. He also represents corporate clients and banks in disputes that involve breach of contracts or collections. Josh also represents individuals in real estate litigation, personal injury litigation, and general civil litigation. Josh handles trustee litigation in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
Before moving to Greenville, his wife’s hometown, and joining Roe Cassidy, Josh cut his teeth with five years in a small-town general practice in his hometown of Danville, Kentucky. This general practice foundation in a variety of disciplines allowed Josh to gain experience in numerous areas of dispute resolution and transactional work, and gave him the right blend of skills and responsiveness needed to adeptly practice in various areas of the law.
Josh graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2001. In 2006, he earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He was admitted into the Kentucky state bar in 2006 and the South Carolina state bar in 2012.
Josh has been recognized multiple times by his peers for his outstanding work and commitment to the spirit of the legal profession. His knowledge of the law, professional work ethic, and advocacy on behalf of clients has made him a trusted advisor for both individuals and corporations alike.
Josh has always been active in trade associations and civic boards. In addition to his activities with professional organizations, he is committed to the community in which he lives and works. Josh currently serves on the board of the YMCA Judson Community Center, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Greenville. He was a Mentor Greenville volunteer for several years, and participated in the Greenville Chamber of Commerce Leadership Greenville Class 45.
When not in the office or courtroom, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin, and their three children. They are active members of Christ Church Episcopal and Josh leads the Outreach Committee.
